Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto's Plane Wreck, Bougainville

Operation Vengeance: The mastermind of the attack on Pearl Harbour's Mitsubishi G4M "Betty" bomber was shot down over the Bougainville jungles by a fleet of 16 P-38 Lightnings flying from Henderson Field Guadalcanal on April 18th,1943.
